This entire school year has been fun. This class went up and down like the stock market, but I held through when it went down and here I am, richer than ever in knowledge. All because I held through with everything we've done. This class isn't like math, science, or English. This class doesn't teach just a little something that'll only help in that class, this class instead teaches something that helps inside and out. This class provides a gateway to computer science and art you've never seen or tried before, it's something new and it hits you like a truck with that. This class isn't only a class, it's a life experience. I've taken away more knowledge about life than I have about art in this class. Everything takes time, from Photoshop to waiting for food in the microwave. From creating cels in an animation to cooking that omelet to perfection. My takeaways aren't only about subobjects on a 3d model, it's about the growth of a skill and the experiences that come with it. Each unit isn't a new subject for me anymore; it's another challenge I need to overcome. Every assignment I finish doesn't mean I get a break, I get a feeling of accomplishment and that's it, off to the next one. I normally wouldn't do that, I normally wouldn't just continue like that without rest and relaxation. Being that the most rewarding experience in this class is that rush of work, and the perseverance to continue on makes this class one of the best. This class kicked my butt, and in the end I'm actually grateful for that. I'm grateful that this class gave me the sense that I should do the best I can on a lamp, A LAMP of all things, it makes the most inept things feel like it's life or death. In the future I'll be more successful than ever just because of this class. Just because of this class I learned that life will beat me unless I have the perseverance, the courage, and the quest to be the best. And that's what I'll keep and follow outside this class, not art, but a once in a lifetime experience. To sum it up: This year has been tough, but what I learned from this class goes beyond just this class. It's a life experience and a half, I've taken away more experience than art actually from this class. The best experience isn't finishing an assignment, or getting through that tough glitch in 3DS Max, the most rewarded I've been this entire class has been a pat on the back. And that's all I'll ever want, because doing the work is the reward its self. Because it rewards you with experience that you'll never get in any other class.
So thanks. Thanks Mr.B, for teaching the best class in DSA.

3D modeling at first was easy. Maybe because before your hand was held when you were making an object, and everything was told to you directly. Now we're biking on our own with the training wheels taken off. Work has gotten harder yes but it's not hard in doing it, it's hard in that it takes a lot of time to do. Before you were told what you need to do and how to do it exactly. Now you're told what you need to do and how you do it, after that you're thrown into 3DS Max to get to work. In my last post I said I was worried about having to do a lot of work like texturing and making larger rooms instead of objects, my worries did come true when I fell behind for because texturing objects is a lot more difficult than I first thought it would be. 3D modeling to me has changed, from more of a task to work. It's gotten harder, a lot harder. It's only going to get harder now. We're starting to texture and make objects out of other objects using different modifiers, which is a lot more difficult than just using subobjects to create something. After doing things like creating a table with modifiers like the lathe tool. 3DS max has gotten harder yes, but overall I've gotten better. It's to the point that half of the stuff we do is muscle memory at this point and the more we learn the more we get set back but the easier the future gets.
Starting 3D modeling seemed complicated at first until I actually started to get into it. At first I was scared, it seemed like it was going to be the hardest task this entire year. Turns out making a simple tank or a snowman is the easiest thing I've done this year. I like how easy and in depth the program is, when you make a cube you already have everything you need to make a tank, when you make a sphere you already have a face. Anything and everything is your canvas and you should paint it to what you see fit. The only thing I've struggled with in 3D modeling is time, as easy as it seems to make a tank it still takes a while to make it. I've been able to hit the deadline for now but when the future comes the same might not be able to be said. When it comes to making things in 3DS Max I find it to be fun, the more we do the more fun it gets. We learn more and more and I can't wait till we get an activity where we get to create our own things. I am worried about the future where it gets massively more difficult, from now which is making something like a tank, to the future where you have to texture and make an entire bed room. It will still be doable it'll just be very difficult and a lot more time consuming. -A tank I made in 3DS Max.
Developed by Running With Scissors Postal 2 is a game about running errands for your wife. As boring as that sounds it's really not. It's an enjoyable experience for any one.
You go through the entire week running small errands like; picking up milk at the convenience store, picking up your check from work, and cashing it in. Some days are harder than others like visiting your father's grave. Or participating in the genocide of civilians and various other groups in the middle of the street with no care for the world as you burn, maim, and kill everything in sight. Sometimes in Postal 2 you can do nice things for the place you live in, like getting a petition "to make whiny congressmen play violent video games." I really enjoy this wholesome game of running errands for you and your loving and caring wife. This game is really the best, it simulates real life extremely well, going so far that you have to confess your sins one day and attend church. Postal 2 is one of my favorite games. I love going around in a wholesome family friendly video game being a good contribution to society. I would recommend this game to anyone I know, I love this game. (Disclaimer, I do not condone any of the activities in this video game, this review is an obvious joke and should be taken as one. Postal 2 is an extremely offensive game that consists of content that is completely politically incorrect.)
Games are mainly for everyone, it's a fun way to get together with friends and family alike. That also includes Video games, as of 2019 60% of American people play video games on a daily basis. For those with impairments that seems like it would be hard for them to actually play a video game. Some how around 92% of people with impairments play video games, how do they manage that? It's not hard to find out how they do it because it's right in your settings: Video games have done the right thing to add settings for the impaired like this colorblind option for Overwatch®. Or an option for the visualization of sound effects in Fortnite. What about major impairments like blindness, Games themselves automatically give help to the blind and that is sound cues. Games like Street Fighter, Super Mario, and other games give off a blind accessible environment using only sound. When you play a game sound is key, even with the ability to see visual cues nothing aids someone more than audio cues. The ability to know when/where something is going to happen based on sound alone is amazing. Even if you did not see what was happening you can still visualize the situation. A video game without sound isn't really a video game, imagine playing a beat game like Guitar Hero or Crypt of the NecroDancer without sound. It's not impossible it's just makes the game quite the challenge.
Stop motion animation is a style of animation where people use pictures of objects to simulate an object moving or doing something. Stop motion animation is much more different than regular animation styles. as it uses images to simulate movement its fps (frames per second) is much more smaller than any other style of animation. So it's much more jerky and slightly less realistic. People try to counter this unrealistic animation style by using slight techniques like sliding where you add an acceleration and a deceleration period to your movement. As you can see the animator uses the frames he has to show an increase in speed and a decrease in speed by making the object seemingly slow down. Lighting in stop motion animation is a tool animators use to their advantage, you can use it to catch the viewers eyes. Flickering is also something that animators use to make a shot more cinematic, but too much light serves as distraction. Just like all styles of animation editing is used. For stop motion animation editing is used to piece the pictures together to make your images become footage. Also if a picture is too dark or too bright you can use editing to make it brighter or darker.
Adobe Illustrator is an art program. Unlike Photoshop, Illustrator uses mainly shapes and vector mapping. The best part of a vector map is that you can size any image up and down without it loosing resolution. When I started to use Illustrator we mainly focused on the shapes tool, the pen tool, and the shape builder tool. The shape builder tool allowed me to change shapes based off of other shapes, a good example of this is how the pepperonis are cut perfectly from the crust. The shapes tool is fairly simple, it took barely any time to learn, and was by far the most fun to mess around with. It had no limits to the shapes, you could make a star that has 100 vertices or a shape with 1000 edges. The pen tool on the other hand was a much more difficult task, but after playing around with the tool I found it to be easy to use and simple to use. The pen tool allows me to make shapes and lines other tools can't. It allows me to do anything with lines, I can curve them, fill them in and create shapes, the pen tool can do all of that. Illustrator offers an easy way to create 2D art work, it's fairly simple and can be used in a variety of ways. It can give a simple way to show/explain a product or a basic sketch of a video game. -A pizza I made in Adobe Illustrator.
For Honor, oh god... For Honor is a game made by Ubisoft based in a setting of medieval war between three (four if you count DLC) factions: the vikings, the knights, the samurai, and if you count DLC the Wu Lin faction. Where you play as either side and fight against other heroes. For Honor consists of close quarters combat where you and another hero fight against each other in a 1v1, 2v2, and a 4v4 situation. What makes the game the most interesting is the multiplayer. Playing it my self it does go up in difficulty as you play and as you win, as you go up against the more powerful the more you play so it is a perfect curve. I would recommend this game only for those who would enjoy a game that's based off skill and is frustrating at times because I've broken a mouse getting mad at this game. Summary
Photoshop has a lot of useful tools for example we have the magic wand tool, it has the ability to select items based on its surrounding and its color. Photoshop also has the spot healing brush which can remove and replace a spot. This one, in my opinion, is the most useful and my favorite, as it removes the extra work it takes to take a part of the woman's skin and putting it on top of a blemish (clone stamping). For example say I have a picture of a woman's face that is full of acne: And I wanted to clear up some of the acne and remove the bagged eyes I would use the spot healing tool and come up with: As you can see just by using the spot healing brush (and a little touch up using others) we have come up with a clearer face with less acne.
The colors used in the video game Celeste are mainly bright and light colors. These colors are used well to contrast certain areas in the game, EX: how you can see an area that is full of danger (to the right) and how it's full of red and orange. Yet on the left you can tell that it's calm and there's nothing that can damage the character. A lot of areas in this game have this. You can tell that this area is full of danger based on the colors. Another thing that you may notice is that the areas without danger are lit with blue torches. The orange torches may not only be represented with danger but based off the theme of the game it sets the mood that it's an anxious part. Just based off this one area in the game it's able to represent it's mood using only two torches with two different colors.
