This entire school year has been fun. This class went up and down like the stock market, but I held through when it went down and here I am, richer than ever in knowledge. All because I held through with everything we've done. This class isn't like math, science, or English. This class doesn't teach just a little something that'll only help in that class, this class instead teaches something that helps inside and out. This class provides a gateway to computer science and art you've never seen or tried before, it's something new and it hits you like a truck with that. This class isn't only a class, it's a life experience. I've taken away more knowledge about life than I have about art in this class. Everything takes time, from Photoshop to waiting for food in the microwave. From creating cels in an animation to cooking that omelet to perfection. My takeaways aren't only about subobjects on a 3d model, it's about the growth of a skill and the experiences that come with it. Each unit isn't a new subject for me anymore; it's another challenge I need to overcome. Every assignment I finish doesn't mean I get a break, I get a feeling of accomplishment and that's it, off to the next one. I normally wouldn't do that, I normally wouldn't just continue like that without rest and relaxation. Being that the most rewarding experience in this class is that rush of work, and the perseverance to continue on makes this class one of the best. This class kicked my butt, and in the end I'm actually grateful for that. I'm grateful that this class gave me the sense that I should do the best I can on a lamp, A LAMP of all things, it makes the most inept things feel like it's life or death. In the future I'll be more successful than ever just because of this class. Just because of this class I learned that life will beat me unless I have the perseverance, the courage, and the quest to be the best. And that's what I'll keep and follow outside this class, not art, but a once in a lifetime experience. To sum it up: This year has been tough, but what I learned from this class goes beyond just this class. It's a life experience and a half, I've taken away more experience than art actually from this class. The best experience isn't finishing an assignment, or getting through that tough glitch in 3DS Max, the most rewarded I've been this entire class has been a pat on the back. And that's all I'll ever want, because doing the work is the reward its self. Because it rewards you with experience that you'll never get in any other class.
So thanks. Thanks Mr.B, for teaching the best class in DSA.
